Soan papdi, one of the most popular Indian sweets, has a crispy, flaky texture. Originating in Nagpur, it is also known as patisa, son papri, and sohan papdi. SKS Kesar Elaichi Soan Papdi is made with gram flour and flavoured with kesar (saffron), cardamom, and rose water. Toasted pistachios and almonds are added to it as garnish. Its melt-in-the-mouth quality makes the sweet popular among children. Other variants of the sweet come in orange, pineapple, chocolate, and mango flavours.
